Dallas newborn photographer, Dallas family photographer: Sneak Peek, Stella

Monday, March 15, 2010 | |

Meet beautiful baby Stella--plump, pink, and right at 4 weeks new. I had the pleasure of hanging out with this lovely family (and their gorgeous Golden Retriever, Sarge) this afternoon for a few hours. 4 weeks can be a tricky age to shoot because they don't sleep *quite* as much as a newborn (ridiculous, isn't it that in the "photog world", newborns are 2 weeks of age and under!). But, with the help of Daddy's magic rocking technique, we got some great sleepy baby shots as well as some bright eyed shots. So sweet! Enjoy your sneak peek, Jeff and Maggie! Thanks for welcoming me into your home.

Howdy! I'm looking to expand my portfolio in a couple of areas and need a few "models" to help out. No experience is necessary. The casting call includes the complimentary session plus 10% off prints and products.

I need the following:

-maternity (between 32 and 34 weeks pregnant)
-newborn MULTIPLES (prefer between 6 and 8 pounds at time of session or less than 2 weeks of age, depending on the babies)

If you're interested, contact me today! Sessions will take place on a weekend and at a location to be discussed (newborn sessions will be in your home).

Another beautiful day in Dallas. Another beautiful baby and family. This family is one of my "baby planners", meaning I get to hang out with them several times over the next year, documenting baby girl's growth along the way.

Sweet, baby Annie was a gorgeous newborn and just gets prettier and prettier each week! Gotta love those bright blue eyes, long reddish lashes, and melt your heart smile. Mom and Dad are pretty cute too! ;)

Enjoy your sneak peeks!

Yes. It's true. I *really* DO have clients who make the most BEAUTIFUL babies! Check out baby Annie. She's a little over a week old now and was so sweet. She slept like a champ once we turned on the heartbeat sound machine and space heater. We moved her all over and she didn't make a peep! Love that.

Here are your sneak peeks, Mom and Dad. Enjoy them and enjoy her while she's still so cuddly...she'll be running full steam ahead in no time. ;)

Dallas newborn photographer, Dallas baby photographer: Sneak peek--Cooper

Saturday, October 31, 2009

Warning! Cuteness overload ahead. Seriously. This family is beyond beautiful! I met them in their lovely home this morning to capture some images of their week old little guy and almost 3 year old. Cooper was wide awake for a lot of our session, but we waited it out and these sleepy shots were definitely worth it! And big brother--wow! I could just eat his sweetness up! He walked me to my car AND opened the door for me. I may have to set him and my 3-year-old up one of these days! ;)

Enjoy your sneak peek, A family. More to come...

Dallas newborn photographer, McKinney newborn photographer: Sneak peek, baby T

Sweet, sweet baby girl. She was just so...so sweet! And cuddly. And tough--she was NOT sleeping no matter what we tried! Thankfully, she closed her eyes long enough to capture some of those squishy, sleepy baby shots and laid contently with her eyes wide open for some bright and cheery "HERE I AM!!!" shots too. :) And, gotta love this laid back and awesome family--poor things were the victims to my camera crash earlier in the week and then to Mother Nature's downpour this morning. Ugh. We WILL get those family and big sister shots. ASAP. For now though, I leave you a sneak peek of the adorable Baby T.

Love how she's sucking on her bottom lip. My last newborn did that too! Soooooo cute!

Looking JUST like her big sister. I mean, exactly alike. It's crazy!

Dallas Newborn Photographer: Sneak Peek Baby H

Wednesday, July 22, 2009

Baby heaven. Goodness. Isn't this little man adorable?!? The curls. The lips. The button nose. The calm demeanor. The CHIN! Ugh. I could go on forever about this sweet, little 3.5 week old. We had a wonderful session this afternoon and Baby H was a dream. He let me put him in all kinds of baskets, wear funky hats, and move him into all sorts of unnatural positions. Here are a couple from our session.

Dallas Newborn Photographer: Baby D

Friday, July 3, 2009 | |

Meet 5 day old, baby D. Baby D and I go waaaaaaaaay back. Like, to before he was even a thought in his mommy's mind! Hee hee. :) His mom and I have been friends for 16 years (wow, can't believe that). I was honored to help capture some of these precious memories for her and her husband. And, I couldn't be more thrilled for their family! Here's your sneak peek, Jill and Mike. Enjoy.

Check out the Angelina Jolie lips on this one! WOW. I know women who pay BIG money for lips like this. ;)

Such a sweet little bear!

Dallas Photographer: Products!

Tuesday, June 9, 2009 | |

I'm long overdue for this post. Clients often ask me about different sizes of prints, ways to display their prints, etc. I'm finally getting around to showing some examples of 2 of my favorite ways to display work--fine art canvas and the J Lee Albums. The first is a canvas print. This particular image is of a gallery wrapped canvas. In order to avoid my sweet, little girl's hands being wrapped around the side, we put a black border around the edge of the image, but 90% of the time, the image is wrapped all the way around. It's truly a work of art. Something that should be displayed prominently. This canvas is 16X20 and I have it hanging in my front hallway, right at the entrance of our home. It's a conversation piece, for sure.

Front view (taken off the wall), then close up view, then side view (hanging on the wall)

The next is a newborn album I just finished. This album is included with all pie a la mode sessions and can be added a la carte with any session. It includes (20) 5X7 images from your session. I love the simplicity of this album. It's polished and timeless. The perfect way to display your work of art...and take it on the road too! Other colors and fabric options are available too.

Front cover (with cut out for image or name and date), flat pages, close up

Contact me for pricing on these awesome add on items!

Oh how I love some squishy, newborn goodness! I was fortunate enough to spend a quiet afternoon in the home of this little one (well, her parents live there too). She was SO good. Only woke up for a brief moment and then would go right back to sleep. Even hung out on the coffee table for a while too! :) Here are your sneak peeks, A and R!

Check out the lips here! LOOOVE'em!

Hello world!

Sweet family.

Welcome!

Tuesday, October 7, 2008

Thanks for stopping by!  I'm a child and family photographer serving the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.  From Frisco to Fort Worth, I enjoy meeting kiddos and families from all over to help preserve their precious memories.  So, how did I get started?  Well, my love for children has always been the driving factor in this endeavor.  I am a Kindergarten teacher by day and have a 2-year-old daughter to keep me on my toes.  Let's just say I have a LOT of experience running with the camera!  After my daughter was born, I found myself with my camera in hand ALL. THE. TIME.  I took a couple of classes, met with other photographers, and poured over every book, manual, internet article, etc. that I could find on my new passion!  After my friends and family asked over and over again "Will you take our family photo?", I decided to give this a shot.  It's been a fun and rewarding ride!  I've met some great and truly BEAUTIFUL people along the way.  I hope to add your family to the collection soon!
