Dallas Children's Photographer, Dallas child photography: Sneak Peek, Look who's 2!

I had the pleasure of meeting sweet Caroline and her family this fall for their holiday photos. It always thrill me when clients contact me again--not just because it means they liked my work, but also because I get to see how much their children have grown! And, Caroline has grown! She's an "on-the-go" 2-year-old now and loves to dig in the dirt and play in the rocks. We had a hard time keeping her adorable smocked dresses clean. :) Thankfully, we also had stickers and jelly beans and we stole a few smiles and pensive gazes from this precious, cherub of a girl! It was a beautiful day at the Dallas Arboretum today and the flowers are out in full bloom! If you've been thinking about a Spring session, this place makes a great backdrop. I've still got a few mini-session spots available this month and next (as well as a few spots for full sessions too).

Little Miss Lindsay is already 6 months old--you might recognize her cherub cheeks and bright blue eyes from THIS session we did in October. We met on an absolutely PERFECT day this past weekend (seriously--15 degrees 1 weekend and 70 the next???) in downtown McKinney. Lindsay is growing like a weed and sitting up so big and tall! It's amazing how quickly they change.

Sweet, sweet baby girl. She was just so...so sweet! And cuddly. And tough--she was NOT sleeping no matter what we tried! Thankfully, she closed her eyes long enough to capture some of those squishy, sleepy baby shots and laid contently with her eyes wide open for some bright and cheery "HERE I AM!!!" shots too. :) And, gotta love this laid back and awesome family--poor things were the victims to my camera crash earlier in the week and then to Mother Nature's downpour this morning. Ugh. We WILL get those family and big sister shots. ASAP. For now though, I leave you a sneak peek of the adorable Baby T.

I met up for a quick mini-session with this beautiful family this morning. Our mission? To get a few family shots and to celebrate the little guy's 6-month-birthday. We braved the heat and hit Dollar Days at the Dallas Arboretum. It was a lovely 87 degrees at 9:00 this morning, but the S Family were real troopers and it shows. Enjoy your sneak peeks! More later.

Another one-year-old! G-man and I go waaaaay back. Like all the way to a year ago! And now, he's the big ONE. And oh my, has he grown...his adorable rocker t-shirt was a 2T. Love me a chunky baby!

We had a GREAT time in downtown McKinney this evening, which is where I shot G-man's mommy's maternity photos last year. Fitting, huh? This is one of my favorite families and I always leave with a smile on my face after hanging out with them.

Dallas Children's Photographer: Sneak Peek-Look who's 1!

Look at this cutie pie with the feathery lashes and the toothy grin! This little guy always has to share the spotlight with his big brother, so I'm sure he was lovin' all the personal attention we paid him this morning in downtown McKinney! We had a great 1 year session. There must've been something in the water a year and nine months ago because I have THREE 1-year-old sessions in the next few months. ;)

Dallas Newborn Photographer: Sneak Peek Baby H

Baby heaven. Goodness. Isn't this little man adorable?!? The curls. The lips. The button nose. The calm demeanor. The CHIN! Ugh. I could go on forever about this sweet, little 3.5 week old. We had a wonderful session this afternoon and Baby H was a dream. He let me put him in all kinds of baskets, wear funky hats, and move him into all sorts of unnatural positions. Here are a couple from our session.

Dallas Children's Photographer: Sniff, sniff...

My baby girl turns 3 next week! THREE! I can't believe it. It seems like only yesterday she was a cuddly little preemie, keeping me up at all hours of the night and worrying me sick over things like how many wet diapers she had that day or how much weight she was (or wasn't) gaining. Now, she worries me sick over things like refusing to hold my hand in the parking lot, potty training (99% there), and lots and lots of "choices". She's a spitfire, full of life, and looks so much like her Daddy, it's unreal. <3

You'd think that I would have all the patience in the world since a) I'm a Kindergarten teacher by day and b) I take kids' pictures ALL THE TIME. But, this little session only lasted about 15 minutes as Mama (aka me) was lacking patience and Lil Mama (aka Grace) was lacking the desire to be photographed. We'll give this another go on a better morning. ;)

She thought it was HILARIOUS that I was getting so irritated with her antics. Guess it was worth something, huh?

Meet 5 day old, baby D. Baby D and I go waaaaaaaaay back. Like, to before he was even a thought in his mommy's mind! Hee hee. :) His mom and I have been friends for 16 years (wow, can't believe that). I was honored to help capture some of these precious memories for her and her husband. Dallas children's photographer: All in the family!

Last weekend, we took a little trip down to Bryan/College Station to visit my family. While we were there, I decided to torture...I mean photograph...the three cousins together in hopes of getting something worth framing. Luckily, my camera shutter is fast because they were far from interested in a photo shoot at 6:00 in the evening, with the temperature right around 100. I wasn't either, but I'm glad we went out for that 20 minutes!

Dallas Family Photographer: Blue skies

This morning, I woke up thinking "Ugh. Another session I have to reschedule because of the stupid rain." Seriously, we've had like 10+ inches of rain here in the last month. It's insane! I drove over to one of my favorite locations to check it out before my session with the M family. It was muddy, but not terrible. I let Mom know what the conditions were like and we decided to go with it. I'm glad we did! The weather was gorgeous, had some yummy light to work with, and I got to meet a great family. Oh how I love some squishy, newborn goodness! I was fortunate enough to spend a quiet afternoon in the home of this little one (well, her parents live there too). She was SO good. Only woke up for a brief moment and then would go right back to sleep. Even hung out on the coffee table for a while too! :) Here are your sneak peeks, A and R!
